The Healthy Prepper Food Guide For The Worst Case Scenario – No Electrical Grid…

The Government is warning us that we are very susceptible to an EMP attack (A nuclear electromagnetic pulse is a burst of electromagnetic radiation created by a nuclear explosion. The resulting rapidly varying electric and magnetic fields may couple with electrical and electronic systems to produce damaging current and voltage surges), or a Solar Storm event like a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME), like the one that took place in 1859, which could take out our electrical grid. That one fried the telegraph lines.

The solar storm of 1859 (also known as the Carrington Event)[1] was a powerful geomagnetic stormduring solar cycle 10 (1855–1867). A solar coronal mass ejection (CME) hit Earth’s magnetosphere and induced one of the largest geomagnetic storms on record, September 1–2, 1859. The associated “white light flare” in the solar photosphere was observed and recorded by British astronomers Richard C. Carrington (1826–1875) and Richard Hodgson (1804–1872). The now-standard unique IAU identifier for this flare is SOL1859-09-01.

A solar storm of this magnitude occurring today would cause widespread electrical disruptions, blackouts and damage due to extended outages of the electrical grid.[2][3] The solar storm of 2012 was of similar magnitude, but it passed Earth’s orbit without striking the planet, missing by 9 days.[4]

This would effectively take us back to the stone age and could last up to a year or more.  It only makes sense to have a plan for that.

I have looked at many of The Prepper Food Kits being sold today and most contain very poor choices nutritionally and assume you would be able to cook things.  If I were to have a Prepper Kit, and I am putting one together, it would assume the worst case, no power.  I would also want it to be stable for a long period of time, portable and one that would provide optimal health.  In a case like this, I don’t care if it’s satisfying or varied, just one that would allow me or my family to survive in a healthy way.  Trust me, I have put a lot of thought into this, and also affordability is considered as well.  It needs to be simple and one that keeps us from damaging our health, which many of these so called kits would do in not that long of time.

Water of course needs to be number 1.  In addition to bottled water, we should have bleach on hand so if we needed to take water from a stream or a lake, we could put 10 drops per gallon in it and kill all the microbs.  We might even have to take water from a standing water source like a puddle, believe it or not there is a product designed to purify that kind of source, it’s called ADYA CLARITY.  You should also have cone shaped coffee filters for either of these options.

Here is what I am putting together for what I will call a Nutrigenomic Prepper Emergency Food Bundle.

4. Brandy – This is added because it can kill bacteria on a cut, and just because I would like to sip on it from time to time, if you get my drift?

This is designed to be bare boned.  But you will feel wonderful, healthy and it upregulates your immune function.  If you don’t feel wonderful, at least you would have the brandy.

The preponderance of evidence says we need optimal amounts of both D3, and K2…

Calcium needs co-factors to work appropriately in our bodies, which is why I don’t recommend taking calcium by itself.  It requires vitamins D3, K2 which are both fat soluble, and minerals like magnesium, zinc and copper.

Based on extensive research, I recommend getting no less than 40 times your weight in D3, which would be 6,000 IU’s per day for a 150 LB  person.  The longest study ever done, which is still on going, shows us that 10,000 IU’s of D3 is safe and will get 96% of the population to optimal levels.  We also know people are very K2 deficient and there is no way to test for it.  The French and Japanese cultures get high amounts, and have very low levels of heart disease.

To get the optimal benefits of D3, this would be a perfect ratio of the 2 nutrients.

Vitamin D3 – 10,000 IU’s per day.

K2 – at least 400 mcg’s of K2 as well per day.
